Team Unite includes long-time CUPE Local 79 leader and CUPE Ontario activist Lily Chang, who is running for Secretary-Treasurer and has a proven track record of fighting for members in the workplace and in our communities and across the province. Together, Team Unite will advance a vision for the CLC that operates on the best principles of our movement – equity, engagement, and organizing for true solidarity – which is exactly what working people need at this time.
Prior to making the decision, the CUPE Ontario Executive Board invited all declared candidates to address the Board and is appreciative of all the candidates who came to engage in this important democratic process.
